Ironbridge World Heritage Festival
Established in 2005, the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Festival has now become a popular, annual event in the cultural calendar. The aim of the Festival is to encourage local people and visitors to enjoy the unique heritage and beautiful scenery of the Ironbridge Gorge.
It
is also an opportunity to find out more about why the area is so
special and the steps being taken to protect it, so that future
generations will also be able to experience the Gorge's special
qualities and values.
Each
year, the Festival has gone from strength to strength and in 2009,
thousands of visitors, traders and entertainers, came together in the
centre of Ironbridge to enjoy the stunning surroundings of the Gorge on
a beautiful autumn day. Join us this year for what promises to be
another fantastic community event in Autumn 2010.
