The Royal Shakespeare Company
The aim of the Royal Shakespeare Company is to keep modern audiences in touch with Shakespeare as our contemporary.
In March 2008 we launched Stand up for Shakespeare, our Manifesto for Shakespeare in schools with recommendations to enable children and young people to have the best experience of Shakespeare by:
• Doing it on their feet
• Seeing it live
• Starting it earlier
Throughout the year, we offer a diverse programme of practical workshops, interactive onstage events and online resources for developing your and your students confidence with, connection to, and enjoyment of Shakespeare. Many of these activities take place in Waterside Space, our new dedicated education facility.
