21st December - Telford Town Park Lantern Parade
Telford & Wrekin Arts Development Team organised a series of community arts events that led to a spectacular family festive occasion involving families, young people and the wider community in this annual Christmas celebration. The Lantern Parade attracted a huge crowd into the Town Park and a host of professional artists provided excellent support and entertainment
Workshops in schools and community settings helped young people and their families to prepare for the annual Lantern Parade in Telford Town Park and enjoy a lantern lit walk. High quality entertainment with music and and carols from Jackfield Brass Band, scintillating storytelling with Andy Hawkins and a spectacular firework display made sure everyone had a fantastic time and kicked off the festive break with a bang.
