Coming soon . . . The Abraham Darby Sports and Learning Community (SLC)
The Abraham Darby SLC will be re-built on the same site as the existing Abraham Darby Academy. The Academy will have places for 900 students as well as giving them the opportunity to continue their studies past the age of 16.
Academy staff and students will benefit from joint working with the Adams Grammar school. This will mean that there will be more opportunities throughout your school life to study a wide range of subjects alongside other young people in Telford and Wrekin.
Woodlands Primary School will also be moved and rebuilt on the same site, meaning the move from primary to secondary education will be even easier. The SLC will have exercise classes, high quality gym facilities and the best swimming pool in Telford and Wrekin. You will be able to bring your friends and family along to use the facilities. They will be open throughout the day and evening, seven days a week for the whole community.
The site is due to be ready by the academic year 2011/2012.
