Live at the Hive
Live gigs featuring young local bands and regional emerging talent. Come along just to hear the bands, or to talk to us and get involved in the promotion of the event, mixing the sounds or creating the stunning wall visuals.
27th Jan: EQ Cultural Diversity
Featuring: Bang on Samba band, Innasanctum EZ & DJ Buzzword, Olugbala Kokumo
For Holocaust Memorial day, the Hive presents EQ; a special cultural diversity Live at the Hive and art exhibition. Wednesday 27th January is the 65th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp, the largest of the Nazi killing centres.
The aim of the EQ gig and exhibition is to promote harmony, diversity and acceptance to the wider community, encouraging local artists of all nationalities and ethnic backgrounds to participate and express themselves through creative media.
Through Holocaust Memorial Day we wish to raise awareness about the Holocaust and its continued relevance today- especially in relation to on going issues of racism, prejudice and discrimination.
The EQ project will examine how individuals, groups and communities are treated and consider how we can work together to prevent discrimination and exclusion, and build safer, more cohesive communities.
