Project Summary
This section will provide a summary of the work and a taste
of the projects we have completed during our three years.
We focussed on some key priorities including:
More young people planning and managing projects.
More opportunities for teacher training.
Better joint planning between schools and cultural organisations.
More variety and quality of cultural experiences for young people.
We have supported schools as they have taken a more active role in working
with cultural partners and helped them link their creative programmes to key
areas from their school development plan. We have provided more Professional
Development opportunities for teachers and supported them as they have
embedded creativity across the school curriculum.
We have also been able to support schools developing extended provision
and have seen increasing numbers of families participating in a wide range
of creative workshops.
We facilitated more opportunities for our cultural partners to work
collaboratively together and share their practice with each other and
with local artists and practitioners.
Overall the quality of the work has been outstanding with workshops and
performances receiving excellent feedback from the wider community.
