Big London

This unique art project that inspired young people to visit ‘Big London’ for the first time and be inspired to create their own art and sculpture exhibition. A group of children with special learning needs worked alongside artists, their teachers and a creative director to develop their thinking skills and artistic talents.

The project was led by the young people who helped to plan their trip to London and also documented their learning process using photography. Their work was inspired by visiting the Tate Modern and by spending time on the London Eye aswell as experiencing the whole ‘Big London’ vibe. The six-week project culminated in a private view for parents, peers and the wider community. Their work received excellent critical acclaim and inspired all that saw it for themselves.
