First Light

FLIC delivers professional filmmaking workshops in schools that support curriculum learning, enhance cross-curricular skills and improve motivation, behaviour and attainment. It places a CRB checked filmmaking professional in the classroom to teach pupils how to use professional digital production equipment and helps to develop a range of creative and technical skills for young people. We can also provide CPD support for teachers that want to learn how to lead on their own film projects with their pupils.

As part of our ongoing commitment to provide a quality service and memorable experience for those involved in our workshops, we want to talk to teachers again to see if we can improve the offer to meet the changing priorities for schools. The information gathered will be used to shape the scheme for the 2011/2012 academic year and beyond.

When: 23rd February 2012

Where: Phoenix School, Manor Road, Dawley, Telford TF4 3DZ

Time: 4.00-5.30pm

In return for your involvement, First Light will provide films and complementary learning resource packs, which can be used to support various curriculum subjects. This opportunity is bought to you by Telford Culture Zone. If you would like to participate in the focus group and contribute to this exciting initiative, please contact Justine Ranson, Telford Culture Zone, justine.ranson@telford.gov.uk or call 01952 380985
