Richard Alston Dance Company

 

Richard Alston Dance Company are performing at the Theatre Severn on 22 and 23 May. The triple bill is the perfect opportunity for school groups to experience the live energy of a historic choreographer who is studied at both GCSE and A-level and whether you are studying dance, performance, music, or the arts, the work on offer gives an important insight into how Alston uses structure and musicality.

 

Essential Alston workshops will also be available. The sessions are designed to challenge your dance class and help them engage with the work of Richard Alston. Workshops take place within your school and can last between 3-5 hours.  The session always begins with a warm up introducing students to the style of the company. This is followed by learning repertoire and working on creative choreography tasks.  A workshop lasting up to three hours costs £180+vat and a workshop lasting up to five hours costs £250+vat. Travel and accommodation costs are also invoiced for.
