Welcome to Telford & Wrekin Music
Telford & Wrekin Music has been delivering instrumental & vocal tuition in schools since April 2007. We have developed a comprehensive service for children and young people of all ages offering a rich and diverse range of instrumental tuition accommodating all abilities and interests. We provide a number of high quality opportunities for music making across the Borough for children & young people:
- Music theory, singing and music instrumental lessons on a wide range of instruments.
- Ensemble opportunities for children and young people, such as Woodwind, Rock Schools and Orchestras.
- Music instrument hire.
- Free music instrumental lessons and instrument hire for those pupils on free school meals.
- Our Music 2 the 4 programme provides whole class lessons at Key Stage 2 in Telford & Wrekin primary schools.
- Performance opportunities for children and young people, such as our Band Nights and our annual Telford & Wrekin Music Showcase, as well as opportunities to take part in regional workshops and showcase events.
- Links to Telford Culture Zone and Find Your Talent, providing project opportunities through City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Welsh National Opera, Armonico Consort and other quality music providers.
- A range of training and support services for Telford & Wrekin schools and local musicians.
- Support to identify and book specialist music providers to deliver workshops and other activity in schools.
