Over the coming year 2011/12, Telford & Wrekin Music will be working with the national CPD pilot programme Musical Bridges, designed and funded by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation working with bother primary and secondary schools.
Working with both the Oakengates Learning Community and the Dawley Learning Community, the first twlight CPD session will be on the 24th January 2012 at Phoenix School, Dawley.
Musical Bridges has identified school transition and transfer issues as these affect young people's musical learning and general progression from primary into secondary school. This has been most effective where teachers have had the active support of Heads and senior leadership staff.
