Education and Cultural Professionals

Telford Culture Zone supports and subsidises many training and CPD (Continuing Professional Development) programmes for teachers, arts practitioners, youth workers and creative facilitators. These programmes are delivered by experienced practitioners in their field and help individuals and groups to develop ideas for delivery within their own setting. They range from twilight sessions, half and full days and even programmes of weekly sessions.

Our partner organisations also host many educational sessions which can be tailor made for your setting. You could either visit the archives, museums or libraries to discuss ideas for your curriculum and project delivery or you could buy-in a practitioner to come to your setting and help you work with whole staff teams to develop programmes of activity to suit your needs. Part of TCZ’s work is to ‘up skill’ practitioners who work with children and young people. This can range from creative consultants working with teachers to develop a creative curriculum in the classroom, or advisers working with youth workers to develop their artistic delivery for young people in youth centres, or artists working with early years staff to enhance ideas for creative play with babies and toddlers. These programmes can vary between twilight group sessions to intensive one to one development.
