Royal Shakespeare Company CPD
Telford Culture Zone are delighted to welcome the prestigious Royal Shakespeare Company to Telford to deliver this fantastic workshop. This practical and interactive course will support your teaching of Shakespeare by focussing on selected material from each of the three plays featured in the RSC Shakespeare Toolkit for Teachers.
This unique resource offers practical classroom activities for KS2 and KS3 pupils, with in-depth lesson plans on three of Shakespeare’s most accessible plays for children and young people.
The course and accompanying toolkit aims to give you the confidence to use the strategies and teach the extended sequences in the book in your class the next day.
This course and toolkit will include:
• Activities which are linked to the KS2/KS3 Framework objectives
• An accompanying CD-ROM containing all worksheets which can be adapted for different contexts
• A bank of accessible drama activities with an explanation of how each works
• Structured lessons: starter, main, development and plenary activities that fit a standard lesson time with suggestions for homework tasks
• Discussions on how to use the toolkit and establish the correct classroom environment for active approaches
Cost per place: £100 (cost includes 1 copy of toolkit to keep, RRP at £50)
We anticipate high levels of demand so please book early to avoid disappointment.
